The Delft painter Jacob Vosmaer was an early if not pioneering specialist in the painting of flower pictures, which often depict rare specimens known to the artists solely from illustrated books. At some time before 1870 this panel was trimmed on the sides and cut down (about nine inches) at the top, cropping the crown imperial.

Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the print motif in order to facilitate the framing.
  • The canvas print: A canvas print, not to be mistaken with a canvas painting, is a digital replica applied directly on cotton canvas. It generates the unique look of three dimensionality. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without the support of any wall-mounts.
