Overview
A Fat Man was made by the Belgian artist Adriaen Brouwer in 1637. The beyond 380 year-old original was made with the size - height: 22,9 cm width: 16,1 cm | height: 9 in width: 6,3 in and was painted with the technique of oil on panel. It is included in the art collection of Mauritshuis, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. The public domain piece of art is included with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. Furthermore, the work of art has the following creditline: Probably Lapeyrière sale, Paris, 14 April 1817 (Lugt 9098), no. 16 (for 150 francs to Alexis-Nicolas Perignon); Dowdeswell & Dowdeswell Gallery, London; purchased, 1897 (for 1,700 guilders by Abraham Bredius, from whom bought by the Mauritshuis that same year).
