Original information about the work of art from the museum (© - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - www.metmuseum.org)
From 1762 until his death, Tiepolo worked in Spain for Charles III and decorated several rooms in the Palacio Real, Madrid. This is one of two sketches for the saleta adjacent to the throne room. Each shows a female figure of Spain with lions for the province of Leon; an old woman beside a castle for Castile; and Hercules, the traditional protector of Spain, with a column representing Gibraltar. The compositions of the two sketches, both exhibited here, are quite varied.

The Aluminium Dibond Print is your ideal introduction to prints made on aluminum. For the Direct Aluminium Dibond option, we print the selected work of art onto the surface of the aluminum. The white and bright parts of the artwork shine with a silky gloss but without glow. The colors are luminous and vivid in the highest definition, fine details of the print appear crisp and clear.
- Canvas print: A canvas direct print is a printed canvas mounted on a wooden frame. A canvas generates a plastic impression of three-dimensionality. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang your Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any type of wall.
- The poster print (canvas material): The Artprinta poster is a UV printed canvas paper with a granular surface structure. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm around the work of art in order to facilitate the framing.
- Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): The acrylic glass print, often referred to as a plexiglass print, will convert your favorite artwork into wonderful wall decoration. Your artwork is being custom-made with the help of modern UV direct print technology. It makes deep and vivid color shades. The major upside of an acrylic glass fine art print is that contrasts and granular details will be identifiable because of the delicate tonal gradation.
