The original had the exact size: 57 1/2 x 45 in (146,1 x 114,3 cm) and was painted with the techinque of oil on canvas. This artwork is in the the Yale University Art Gallery's digital collection. William Merritt Chase was a painter from United States, whose style was primarily Impressionism. The North American painter was born in the year 1849 in Williamsburg, Wayne county, Indiana, United States and deceased at the age of 67 in the year 1916.
