The man portrayed in this work is a doctor, a fact clearly conveyed by the books in his library, authored by Hippocrates, Galen, Vesalius and others. The inclusion of a skull and an hourglass, common in Northern Renaissance portraits, is meant as a reminder of the brevity of life and the fleeting nature of worldly pursuits, including the intellectual endeavors of the physician.

General product info

This over 440 year old masterpiece was made by the northern renaissance master Ludger tom Ring. Beyond that, the acrylic print offers a distinct alternative option to dibond and canvas prints. The great advantage of an acrylic glass art print is that sharp contrasts as well as granular image details become more exposed due to the very fine gradation in the picture.

The canvas print: A canvas print is a printed cotton canvas mounted on a wooden stretcher. In addition to that, a printed canvas makes a familiar and comfy impression. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is quite simple to hang up the Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. That is why, a canvas print is suited for all types of walls.

Aluminium dibond (metal print): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with a true depth. The Aluminium Dibond Print is your ideal start to replicas on aluminum. For the Direct Aluminium Dibond print, we print the favorite artpiece on the aluminium white-primed surface.
