The architect, painter Christoph Unterberger was an artist from Austria, whose artistic style can mainly be classified as Baroque. The artist was born in 1732 in Cavalese, Trento province, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy and passed away at the age of 66 in the year 1798 in Rome, Roma province, Lazio, Italy.

Before signature and date discovered this painting was by Christoph Unterberger as the work of his uncle Michelangelo Unterberger. 1757 Year may seem at first sight very early, but Elfriede tree could make a convincing case that this may well have originated during the stay of the artist in Verona.
