We know that the Countess du Barry ordered at least two portraits of Zamor, which at Drouais painter. The identification of the Carnavalet portrait as Zamor is not impossible, but it is not very probable if one compares to the most likely portrait, that Drouais, known by a photograph (see Joseph Baillio, "a portrait of Zamor, Bengali page of Madame du Barry", GBA, October p.233-242).
