Artwork description from The Metropolitan Museum of Art website (© - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)
In its immediacy and breadth of handling, this small picture recalls drawings that Claude made from nature in the environs of Rome. The composition is illustrated in the painter’s drawn record book of his work, the Liber Veritatis. The building, which still stands in the outskirts of Rome, was a medieval fortress transformed into a country house, which in the seventeenth century belonged to the aristocratic Crescenzi family. The painting is unique in that it accurately represents an existing building and is not drawn from the artist’s imagination.

Available product materials
For every fine art print we offer a range of different sizes & materials. You can choose your your favorite size and material among the following options:
- Canvas print: The canvas direct print is a printed canvas stretched on a wood frame. It has a particular effect of three dimensionality. Besides, printed canvas produces a cosy and enjoyable ambience. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is quite simple to hang the Canvas print without the use of any wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for all kinds of walls in your house.
- Printed poster (canvas material): Our poster print is a printed flat canvas paper with a granular surface structure, that resembles the actual masterpiece. A printed poster is best used for putting your fine art print with the help of a custom frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm around the artwork to facilitate the framing.
- The acrylic glass print: An print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes described as a plexiglass print, will transform the original into marvellous home decoration.
- Aluminium dibond (metal print): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an outstanding depth effect. The white & bright components of the artwork shimmer with a silk gloss, however without glare.

Important information: We try everything in order to depict our art products as closely as possible and to illustrate them visually. However, the colors of the printing material, as well as the printing might diverge slightly from the representation on the device's screen. Depending on the screen settings and the nature of the surface, not all colors are printed as exactly as the digital version depicted here. Since all the art prints are printed and processed manually, there may as well be slight differences in the motif's size and exact position.
