Description of the over 110 year-old artwork

This 20th century piece of art was made by the male artist Edouard Vuillard in the year 1904. The masterpiece measures the size - 17 1/4 x 21 1/2 in (43,8 x 54,6 cm). Oil on cardboard was used by the French painter as the technique for the artpiece. The artpiece can be viewed in in the digital collection of Saint Louis Art Museum, which is located in St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America. The creditline of the artwork is: Gift of Richard K. Weil. What is more, the alignment is landscape with a ratio of 1.2 : 1, which implies that the length is 20% longer than the width. The painter Edouard Vuillard was an artist from France, whose style can primarily be assigned to Post-Impressionism. The artist was born in the year 1868 in Cuiseaux, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France and died at the age of 72 in the year 1940.
