Like his contemporary Paulus Verschuur in the adjacent portrait by Hals, this man sports a wide-brimmed black hat, lace collar and cuffs, and a crumpled leather glove. But even working with these shared elements of respectable Dutch attire, Verspronck took an individual approach, favoring a far smoother, more illusionistic application of paint than Hals, his main rival for portrait commissions in Haarlem. Over the course of the seventeenth century, tastes largely shifted away from rough and painterly styles and toward the smoother approach of artists like Verspronck.

Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any kind of wall.
  • Print on glossy acrylic glass (with real glass coating): An acrylic glass print, which is sometimes denoted as a UV print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite original into décor and makes a viable alternative to canvas or aluminium dibond art prints. The real glass coating protects your custom fine art print against light and external influences for many years to come.
  • The poster print (canvas material): Our poster is a UV printed flat cotton canvas paper with a granular surface structure, that reminds the original version of the masterpiece. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm around the work of art in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Aluminium dibond print (metal): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with a true depth effect. The Aluminium Dibond Print is the best introduction to art replicas made on aluminum. For the Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the work of art on the aluminium composite white-primed surface. The white and bright parts of the original artpiece shimmer with a silky gloss but without any glare.
