Product materials you can pick from

For every art print we offer different materials and sizes. That is why, we allow you to choose among the following options:

  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, often labelled as a plexiglass print, makes the artwork into great décor. Additionally, it is a viable alternative to dibond or canvas prints. Your favorite work of art is custom-made with the help of modern UV direct print machines. It creates deep and vivid print colors. The plexiglass protects your selected art replica against light and heat for decades.
  • Metal print (aluminium dibond): An Aluminium Dibond print is a material with a true effect of depth. A direct Aluminium Dibond Print is the perfect start to the sophisticated world of prints on aluminum. The bright parts of the work of art shine with a silk gloss, however without the glare.
  • Poster (canvas material): The poster is a UV printed sheet of canvas paper with a granular structure on the surface, that reminds the actual work of art. It is designed for placing the art print using a custom frame. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin of around 2 - 6cm around the print, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
  • The canvas print: The UV printed canvas mounted on a wood frame. How do I hang a canvas on my wall? The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang up your Canvas print without the use of extra wall-mounts. Hence, canvas prints are suited for any kind of wall.

Cléophile Caillard (1814-1887), wife of Edward Caillard, Director of Messaging Laffitte and Caillard, is represented in three quarters on a dark red background. The woman is wearing a low-cut black dress decorated with golden shoulder cords. Hands crossed on his knees covered with a large blue shawl, she calmly at the viewer. Originally, this table should be wider then the artist has reduced its size. In the photograph, the blank for the initial format is visible on the sides and bottom. This draft is currently hidden by the frame of the table.

Calm portrait, sober tones and smooth invoice of young Madame Caillard is in the tradition of Ingres, whose Scheffer was a staunch defender. Scheffer has found a remarkable agreement between a bourgeois simplicity marked by the absence of jewels and decorations - including Ingres was for her clients, so prolix - and refinement of an aesthetic ideal.
