For every art print we offer a range of different sizes and materials. You can choose among the following product customization options:

  • Glossy acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes labelled as a UV print on plexiglass, will convert your favorite artwork into décor. Furthermore, it offers a good alternative option to dibond or canvas fine art replicas. With an acrylic glass art print sharp contrasts and minor image details become exposed thanks to the granular tonal gradation.
  • Poster (canvas material): The Artprinta poster print is a UV printed canvas paper with a granular surface texture. It is suited for framing your art copy with the help of a custom-made frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2 - 6cm round about the print motif to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Canvas: A printed canvas, which should not be confused with a painting on a canvas, is a digital copy printed on an industrial printer. A canvas print has the advantage of being relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without the use of any wall-mounts. That is why, a canvas print is suited for all kinds of walls.
  • Aluminium dibond (metal print): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an impressive depth effect - for a modern look and a non-reflective surface. For our Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print your favorite artwork on the surface of the aluminum composite. The colors of the print are luminous and vivid in the highest definition, the fine details of the print appear clear and crisp, and there’s a matte look you can literally feel.

Important note: We try all that we can in order to depict our products as accurately as possible and to exhibit them visually in our shop. Nonetheless, the tone of the printing material and the imprint may vary to a certain extent from the presentation on your monitor. Depending on your settings of your screen and the quality of the surface, color pigments might not be printed as realistically as the digital version depicted here. Bearing in mind that all our art prints are printed and processed by hand, there may as well be minor differences in the size and exact position of the motif.

Jean-Baptiste Siméon Chardin's work gained public attention just as a reaction to the elaborate style of rococo art was setting in. He was admitted to the French Royal Academy as a still-life painter in 1728, a rare honor, as still life was then considered far less valid than paintings of historical, mythological, or courtly subjects. Even though his work reflected the ordinary images, decorum, and morality of the bourgeois life from which he came, Chardin's talent was recognized in artistic and aristocratic circles. Chardin began to paint genre subjects in the late 1730s, evoking through his observation of everyday life a contemplative atmosphere that in France had largely remained the domain of religious painting. In some ways his compositions heralded the values of the art of the Enlightenment, with its emphasis on rational content, naturalistic imagery, and qualities of truth and directness in subject matter. Soap Bubbles is carefully composed in the simplest of geometries, with the window forming a rectangular space to frame the pyramidal grouping of the youth and the boy transfixed by the spherical bubble; these shapes are reinforced by the masonry, angles of the youth's arms, and the pair of heads. Chardin renders surfaces carefully but without distracting detail. A sense of timeless contemplation transforms the ephemeral pastime of the pair into a compelling allegory about the transitory nature of life. This is far from being a scene of carefree, youthful abandon.
