Bentheim Castle still exists. It is located on the German–Dutch border region, but the high mountains Ruisdael depicted in this painting are not found there. Fantasy and reality are interwoven in this scene. The painter made a dozen paintings of this castle, each with a different mountain landscape. In 1816, Goethe, the famous German writer, rightly called Ruisdael a poet.

Pick a product material variant

For every art print we offer a range of different sizes and materials. Therefore, we allow you to choose among the following options:

  • The canvas print: The printed canvas material mounted on a wooden frame. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without the use of extra wall-mounts. That is why, canvas prints are suited for any type of wall.
  • Aluminium dibond print: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding effect of depth, creating a contemporary look thanks to a surface , which is not reflective. For your Aluminium Dibond option, we print the chosen artpiece onto the surface of the white-primed aluminum material. The white and bright parts of the work of art shimmer with a silk gloss, however without the glow. The colors of the print are vivid and luminous, fine details of the print are clear and crisp.
  • Poster on canvas material: A poster print is a printed canvas paper with a nice surface texture. A printed poster is suited for framing the fine art print with the help of a custom-made frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm round about the print to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
  • Printed acrylic glass with a glossy effect (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, often denoted as a print on plexiglass, will turn the artwork into décor. In addition, it makes a viable alternative to canvas or dibond fine art replicas. Your own copy of the artwork is made with modern UV direct printing machines. With an acrylic glass fine art print contrasts and also minor image details will be more identifiable with the help of the very fine gradation in the print. Our plexiglass protects your chosen art replica against light and external influences for many years to come.
