• The poster print on canvas material: A poster print is a printed flat cotton canvas paper with a slightly rough finish on the surface, that reminds the actual version of the work of art. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the print in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.

A native of South Tyrol Johann Baptist Lampi d. Ä. worked in Vienna, Warsaw and St. Petersburg and was one of the most sought-after portraitists of his time. Crowned heads and representatives of the aristocracy were his clients. This painting was ordered the two portrayed by Carlo Graf Thomatis, the director of the Russian Hofschauspiele in Warsaw and father. Why the portrait was not completed, is not known. But these are a happy coincidence for us, because the view is deflected by either lace or silk, even by a virtuoso running environment - the painting stands alone by the excellent modeling of the faces. Lampi held no idealized female figures here. Thanks to his masterly observation and safely guided brushes a portrait of two was spiritless and humorous girl whose personality reflects already the new self-image of enlightened people. In addition to this, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with an image ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Johann Baptist Lampi d. Ä. was a painter, whose art style can be attributed primarily to Classicism. The Classicist artist was born in the year 1751 in Romeno, South Tyrol and died at the age of 79 in 1830.
