This fantasy landscape is a copy of "Ruined Arch and seaport" Francesco Guardi painting that was in 1973 in the Albertini-Carandini collection in Rome. One discerns one variant from the model: a house on the land rush behind the breakwater replaced the second sailing boat moored at dock. Table of Rome itself is a simplified version of the great "ruined arch and sea port", painted by Francesco Guardi to 1775-1780 and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. This painting has inspired many other works by the artist (see Burollet, Therese, 2004 p.163).
