The portrait of two aldermen based in 1702, is a fragment of collective portrait of the Office of the City which included the provost Boucher d'Orsay, the four aldermen Santeul, Guillebon, Boutet and Desnotz, the Public Prosecutor, the Registrar and recipient, accompanied by Justice and Abundance. In the background included a tapestry depicting the arrival of the Duke of Anjou to the Spanish crown with allegories appropriate to the subject.
