Forest scene. One of the two forest scenes on the outside of the two side panels of a triptych (see also SK-A-3135). It concerns the left side with a gatehouse. The insides of the side panels and the central panel (with Adoration of the Child) are located in the Metropolitan Musuem of Art in New York.

The Dutch artist lived for a total of 63 years and was born in 1460 in Oudewater, Utrecht province, Netherlands and passed away in 1523.
