The retreat of the Spanish garrison after the surrender of 's-Hertogenbosch, September 17th 1629. A landscape attracts a long procession of carriages and wagons. Leading the procession are Catholic clergy. Peasants and soldiers watch the exodus. In the background a map of the city of 's-Hertogenbosch in a nutshell.
