Choose your desired material

For every art print we offer different sizes & materials. That is why, we allow you to choose among the following options:

  • Poster (canvas material): A poster is a printed sheet of flat canvas paper with a granular surface finish, which resembles the original masterpiece. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin between 2-6cm round about the print motif to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Print on acrylic glass (with real glass coating): A glossy acrylic glass print, which is sometimes named as a plexiglass print, will turn an original artwork into home decoration. Additionally, it offers a distinct alternative option to dibond or canvas fine art replicas.
  • Canvas print: A printed canvas, not to be confused with a painting on a canvas, is an image printed on an industrial printing machine. Further, a printed canvas generates a familiar, pleasing impression. Canvas Prints have the advantage of being low in weight, which means that it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without the help of any wall-mounts. Hence, canvas prints are suited for all kinds of walls.
  • Metal (aluminium dibond print): An Aluminium Dibond print is a material with a true depth effect. The Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the excellent start to art reproductions on aluminum.

Important note: We do what we can in order to depict the products in as much detail as we can and to exhibit them visually in our shop. At the same time, the tone of the print materials and the imprint may differ somehwat from the representation on the device's monitor. Depending on the screen settings and the nature of the surface, colors may not be printed 100% realistically. Since the art prints are processed and printed manually, there might as well be slight deviations in the motif's exact position and the size.

Stories of Christ’s childhood and adolescence became increasingly popular during the Counter-Reformation because they were easily understood by a broad public. Rather than taking a story from the Bible, Zurbarán appears to have invented this subject, in which Jesus pricks himself on a crown of thorns he is weaving, foretelling his later torment at the Crucifixion. Despite the grand scale and monumental figures, the work has remarkable intimacy and quietness, emphasizing such details as the Virgin’s tears.
