In a Dutch interior, a servant goes back to the broom. The shutters are drawn. The vertical and horizontal beams, windows, door, curtain, pavements and frames on the wall are a geometric pattern very strict. There are the face of the girl in the mirror on the wall. On the right, a door opens to another room where there is a fireplace.

Famous for its domestic bourgeois he treats as still lifes, P. Janssens remains little known and his works are rare. Several versions exist of this table, and a copy in the Louvre.
