One of the most talented artists of the Connecticut school, Moulthrop must have acquired his obvious knowledge of English portraiture by studying books and prints. His exaggerated portrayal of Mrs. Perit's coiffure and headdress is in keeping with similar images in contemporary fashion plates. He may also have studied paintings by Ralph Earl, whose works can also be seen in the Museum's collection.

  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): The acrylic glass print, often denoted as a UV print on plexiglass, transforms the original artwork into décor. Your favorite work of art will be printed with the help of modern UV print technology.
