What does the original artwork description of the Nationalmuseum Stockholm state about this artwork created by Carl d'Unker? (© - Nationalmuseum Stockholm - Nationalmuseum Stockholm)

English: The mood is morose. I In the background we can just about make out the clerk in the dusky lighting. Around the mid-19th century, art collectors were insatiable when it came to sentimental scenes of poverty. One of the artists who painted such motifs, Carl d’Unker, was unusual, however, since his pictures such as this one or scenes from railway station waiting rooms, revealed the darker sides of class society. Stämningen är dämpad. Någon argumenterar vid disken med ägaren till pantlånekontoret och en annan räknar pengarna efter att ha pantsatt sina ägodelar. I bakgrunden skymtar man bokhållaren i skum belysning.

Pick your product material variant

We offer a range of different materials and sizes for every product. Choose among the following product options now to match your preferences in size and material:

  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): An acrylic glass print, often denoted as a fine art print on plexiglass, makes your favorite artwork into brilliant home decoration. The work of art is being printed with the help of modern UV printing machines. It creates vibrant, deep color tones. The major advantage of an acrylic glass fine art copy is that contrasts and artwork details become visible with the help of the precise tonal gradation.
  • The poster print (canvas material): A poster print is a UV printed flat canvas with a slight finish on the surface, which resembles the original artwork. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2 - 6cm around the work of art, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Metal print (aluminium dibond): Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an impressive depth - for a modern look and a non-reflective surface structure. The Aluminium Dibond Print is your perfect start to fine reproductions with aluminum. For our Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the chosen artpiece right on the aluminium composite surface.
  • Canvas: A canvas print, not to be mistaken with an artwork painted on a canvas, is an image printed from a UV direct printer. Your canvas print of your favorite work of art will provide you with the chance of transforming your fine art print into a large artwork. How do I hang a canvas on the wall? The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang up your Canvas print without any wall-mounts. Therefore, canvas prints are suitable for all kinds of walls.

Legal note: We try all that we can to describe the art products with as many details as possible and to illustrate them visually in our shop. At the same time, the colors of the print products and the print result may diverge to a certain extent from the presentation on the monitor. Depending on the screen settings and the condition of the surface, color pigments can unfortunately not be printed one hundret percent realistically. Given that all our art prints are printed and processed by hand, there might also be minor variations in the motif's exact position and the size.
