The study of the landscape can be traced back, emerged as the first subjects in a realistic rendering of nature in Koloman Moser's painting to the year 1907th These soft over the years a simplification of form in combination with a subtle color scale in cool pastel shades. In June and July 1912, Moser keeps on with his family in Torbole on Lake Garda. In addition to pastel drawings of the family of a private nature, this painting has been preserved, showing the view from the Rock of Tignale to Limone. The horizontal axis directs the viewer's gaze to the rock formation in the background, its expressive color combination of the scenic play in the reflections of the water reacts. In addition to the flattening of the subject and the subtle color scale Moser voltage generated by the visualization of the horizon on the left side next to the rock, created giving the appearance of a snapshot.
