The Bite of bread is the only painting by Peel for the state on the occasion of an order from the Department of Fine Arts in 1881sur the theme of "Charity". The implementation of this large composition (National Fund of Contemporary Art) will not begin until 1900 and will end in 1908. Ten preparatory sketches are preserved at the Petit Palais. They are painted in a dark shades in the manner of ink wash. The characters are represented by groups or individually, scale. Urban poverty affects primarily a workforce unskilled, sick and injured workers, that economic crises leave unemployed and destitute. Given the delay of social reform, Catholic organizations still occupy at the end of the nineteenth century a prominent place in charitable activity. Available product materials

We offer a range of various materials and sizes for every product. We allow yout to choose among the following variants:

  • Print on acrylic glass: An acrylic glass print, often referenced as a print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite original artwork into marvellous décor. Besides, the acrylic glass print makes a great alternative option to dibond or canvas fine art prints. Your favorite artwork is being made with the help of state-of-the-art UV print machines. This creates vivid and stunning color hues. The great advantage of an acrylic glass fine art copy is that sharp contrasts and smaller details will be exposed because of the very fine tonal gradation in the print.
  • The canvas print: The UV printed canvas stretched on a wood frame. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without the use of extra wall-mounts. Hence, a canvas print is suitable for any kind of wall.
  • Poster (canvas material): The Artprinta poster is a printed sheet of canvas paper with a granular finish on the surface. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6cm round about the painting to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Metal print (aluminium dibond): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with a true depth, which creates a modern look thanks to a non-reflective surface structure. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the excellent start to fine art reproductions on aluminum. The bright and white components of the work of art shine with a silky gloss but without the glow. Colors are bright and vivid, the details of the print appear crisp, and the print has a a matte appearance that you can literally feel.
