Moreover, alignment is in landscape format with a ratio of 4 : 3, which means that the length is 33% longer than the width. Franz Sigrist d. Ä. was a painter, whose style can mainly be attributed to Baroque. The Baroque painter lived for a total of 76 years, born in 1727 in Alt-Breisach in Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg and deceased in 1803 in Vienna.

The theme for this painting was made in 1753 by Paul Troger at the Vienna Academy for the painting competition. As the winner here but Christoph Unterberger and Martin Knoller emerged; Sigrist received - after he had previously finished second in - but no voice. [Georg Lechner, 3/2009]
