The joust and Petty had held annually at the Feast of the corporation. The catalog of a limited sale held March 21, 1763 states: "a picture of Raguenet representing the view of the bridge of Notre Dame du Pont au Change side with jousting that took place in celebration of the Duke of Burgundy, three feet wide and two feet high with gold trim. " Our table could fit this description especially by the specified dimensions, but the date of execution (1756) does not match the mentioned event (1751).
