What does the The Metropolitan Museum of Art say about this 19th century artwork made by Camille Pissarro? (© - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)

Pissarro felt an affinity for the daily rhythms of peasant life that he witnessed around his home in the village of Éragny, not far from Paris. This washerwoman is hard at work, scrubbing linens and clothing in one barrel and rinsing them in another. The artist depicted the surrounding landscape with dappled touches of his brush—a legacy of the Pointillist style that he adopted in the mid-1880s. To suggest the effect of shimmering sunlight, he mixed pure yellow paint into the greens of the grass and trees while the pigment was still wet.

What product materials can I pick?

For every art print we offer different sizes and materials. Therefore, we allow you to choose among the following options:

  • Canvas print: A canvas print is a printed canvas mounted on a wooden stretcher. The printed canvas creates a familiar, appealing appearance. Canvas Prints have the advantage of being low in weight. This means, it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without the use of additional wall-mounts. Hence, canvas prints are suitable for all kinds of walls.
  • The poster print (canvas material): Our poster is a printed flat canvas paper with a slight surface finish, that reminds the actual version of the masterpiece. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm around the painting in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Metal print (aluminium dibond): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding depth effect. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the excellent start to fine art replicas on aluminum. For our Direct Aluminium Dibond option, we print your selected work of art on the surface of the white-primed aluminum composite. The white & bright sections of the original work of art shine with a silk gloss, however without glow. Colors are luminous in the highest definition, the fine details appear crisp.
  • Print on glossy acrylic glass (with real glass coating): A glossy acrylic glass print, which is often named as a print on plexiglass, will change an original into wonderful home décor. Furthermore, it makes a good alternative to canvas or aluminium dibond art prints. The work of art will be printed with the help of modern UV printing machines. The great benefit of an acrylic glass art print is that sharp contrasts plus granular details will be more visible because of the very subtle gradation.
