We offer a range of different sizes and materials for every product. The following options are available for individualization:

  • The canvas print: The UV printed canvas applied on a wood frame. A canvas creates the typical effect of three dimensionality. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang up the Canvas print without any wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for all kinds of walls.
  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): The print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes labelled as a plexiglass print, will convert your favorite original artwork into wonderful décor. The artwork is custom-made with modern UV printing machines.
  • Printed poster (canvas material): A poster is a UV printed flat canvas paper with a slightly rough surface structure. It is optimally used for placing the art replica with a custom-made frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm around the print motif in order to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
  • Aluminium dibond print: This is a metal print made on aluminium dibond material with an impressive effect of depth. The Aluminium Dibond Print is your ideal introduction to art reproductions made on aluminum. For your Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the artpiece right onto the surface of the white-primed aluminum composite. The colors of the print are luminous in the highest definition, the details appear very clear, and there’s a matte look that you can literally feel.

Legal note: We try our best to depict our products in as much detail as possible and to illustrate them visually. However, the pigments of the print products, as well as the printing may vary somehwat from the representation on your monitor. Depending on the screen settings and the quality of the surface, colors might not be printed as realisitcally as the digital version on this website. In view of the fact that all art reproductions are processed and printed manually, there may as well be minor differences in the size and exact position of the motif.

Devotional images of the breastfeeding Virgin, the Virgo lactans, became extremely popular in fifteenth-century painting, particularly in Bruges, where the Sint-Donaaskerk housed relics of Mary’s hair and milk. While the motif generally derives from a Byzantine icon type (galaktotrophousa), the Virgin and Child in this picture were quoted from Rogier van der Weyden’s Saint Luke Drawing the Virgin (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston). The seemingly archaic trompe l'oeil golden niche returns the image to its status as an icon. The frame is original; hinge holes (now plugged) indicate that the panel was formerly the central element of a triptych.
