Copy of an engraving by Thomas Burke (1749-1815) by Angelica Kauffman (1740-1807), this miniature shows a passage of dynastic poem by Edmund Spenser (1552-1599) - The Fairy Queenie [The Fairy Queen ] - published in 1596 during the reign of Elizabeth I. the young princess Una, under symbol of beauty, encounter a lion, amazed, chose to become her protector in his quest to free his prisoners parents. The famous poem the Tudors in the affiliating to King Arthur; many allegorical allusions also pay tribute to Elizabeth Anglicanism.
