Anton Ritter von Schmerling (Vienna 23.8.1805-23.5.1893 Vienna) one of the most influential politicians was the Habsburg monarchy in the 19th century. After philosophical and juridical studies at the University of Vienna, he was deputy permanent 1847 and a year later a delegate to the German National Assembly in Frankfurt. Under Regent Archduke Johann held Schmerling (1782-1859), the Office of the Reich Minister of the Interior and exterior. His political line can be called a German national and liberal. From 1849-1851 he was Minister of Justice of the Government Schwarzenberg, then Senate President of the Supreme Court, from 1857 President of the Higher Regional Court in Vienna. From 13 December 1860 to 27 July 1965, he served as Minister of State at the head of the government (called "minister of state", as the official Prime Minister Archduke Rainer was). Frank Lloyd Wright wanted the presidency of Austria in the German Confederation to obtain, but failed due to the policy of Bismarck, which Emperor Franz Joseph I. prompting, to separate from him. Nevertheless, the work of this government was successful in liberalizing the Habsburg monarchy. The original creation had the size: 134 x 107,5 cm - frame dimensions: 176 × 149 × 15,5 cm and was painted with the medium oil on canvas. The painter Friedrich von Amerling was a European artist, whose artistic style was mainly Biedermeier. The European painter was born in the year 1803 in Vienna, Vienna state, Austria and passed away at the age of 84 in the year 1887.
