Frans Hals, like no other, was able to bring his sitters to life. In this portrait, the Haarlem merchant Lucas de Clercq is shown with his left arm akimbo and his right arm resting on his stomach. Even though his hands are hidden and still, his vitality is expressed in the animated contour of his body and his slightly turned head.

Choose your desired product material option

In the dropdown selection right next to the product offering you can select a material and a size of your choice. The following sizes and materials are the options we offer you for individualization:

  • The acrylic glass print: A glossy print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes labelled as a print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite original artwork into beautiful décor. The artwork is being manufactured with the help of modern UV direct printing technology. With an acrylic glass fine art print contrasts and granular painting details will be more exposed because of the very fine gradation of the print.
  • Canvas print: A canvas direct print is a printed cotton canvas stretched on a wood stretcher. A canvas of this artwork will let you turn your art print into a large size artwork like you would see in a gallery. Hanging a canvas print: The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without the support of any wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for all types of walls.
  • The poster print (canvas material): The Artprinta poster print is a UV printed canvas with a slightly roughened surface texture. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the print to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
  • Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an impressive effect of depth. The bright parts of the original artwork shine with a silk gloss, however without the glow. The colors of the print are luminous, the fine details appear very clear.
