Lasser, Joseph, Freiherr von inch Home, * 30/09/1815 Strobl (Salzburg), † 19.11.1879 Vienna, statesman. 1848 liberal member of the Austrian Reichstag and the Frankfurt National Assembly. The final version of the introduced by H. Kudlich law on the abolition of the rural state of subjugation (1848) comes from Lasser. 1860/61 head of the Justice Department, 1861-65 Minister for Political Administration, 1868-70 governor of Tyrol. Lasser continued 1871-78 as interior minister in the Liberal Cabinet A. Auerspergs electoral reform through and, after his release, a member of the manor for life. Literature: Muellner, K .: Baron J.
