Artwork description as provided from the museum (© Copyright - by Indianapolis Museum of Art - Indianapolis Museum of Art)

The seascape’s brilliant color, loose brushwork, and attention to sunlight are characteristic of the Impressionist approach Luce adopted by the late 1890s, after his affiliation with the Neo-Impressionist movement. This 1908 view of boats on the Meuse River was inspired by Luce’s trip to the Netherlands the previous year. He often made sketches while traveling and created the finished composition in his Paris studio.

Possible material options

In the dropdown selection right next to the product you can select your favorite material and size. Thus, we allow you to choose among the following options:

  • Acrylic glass print: A glossy print on acrylic glass, which is often described as a plexiglass print, changes your favorite artwork into beautiful home décor. Further, it is a good alternative to aluminium or canvas fine art prints. The major benefit of a plexiglass fine art copy is that contrasts and also smaller image details will be visible thanks to the granular gradation.
  • The poster print (canvas material): Our poster print is a printed flat canvas with a slightly rough finish on the surface, which reminds the original version of the artwork. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin between 2-6cm round about the print in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Canvas: A canvas print is a printed canvas stretched on a wood frame. In addition to that, a printed canvas makes a lively and appealing ambience. Hanging your canvas print: Canvas Prints have the great advantage of being low in weight, which means that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without the use of any wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.
  • Aluminium dibond (metal print): This is a metal print made on aluminium dibond material with an impressive effect of depth. A non-reflective surface structure make a contemporary impression. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the best introduction to art prints with aluminum. For your Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the favorite artpiece right onto the aluminium white-primed surface. The white & bright parts of the original work of art shimmer with a silk gloss, however without the glow. The UV print on aluminium is the most popular entry-level product and is an extremely sophisticated way to display art prints, because it draws focus on the artwork.
