In the product dropdown menu you can select the material and size of your choice. In order match your personal requirements perfectly, you can choose among the following product customization options:

  • The poster print (canvas material): A poster print is a printed flat cotton canvas paper with a fine texture on the surface. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm round about the work of art in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Canvas print: The UV printed canvas material mounted on a wood stretcher frame. It generates a sculptural impression of three-dimensionality. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without the use of extra wall-mounts. That is why, a canvas print is suited for any kind of wall.
  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): A glossy print on acrylic glass, often denoted as a UV print on plexiglass, will transform the artwork into beautiful home decoration and makes a viable alternative to canvas or dibond fine art prints. Our acrylic glass protects your selected art replica against sunlight and heat for many years.
  • Metal print (aluminium dibond): An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with a true effect of depth, creating a modern look by having a surface structure, which is non-reflective. The Aluminium Dibond Print is your best start to fine art prints with aluminum. The white & bright parts of the original work of art shine with a silk gloss but without the glare.

Considering that all our art reproductions are processed and printed manually, there might also be slight variations in the motif's exact position and the size.

Original information about the work of art from The Metropolitan Museum of Art (© Copyright - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)

The painting illustrates the episode in the Gospel of Matthew, in which Pontius Pilate, after having tried to save Christ from death, washed his hands and declared "I am innocent of the blood of this righteous person." The canvas is mentioned in two letters addressed by Preti to the Sicilian collector Antonio Ruffo in 1663. It was not purchased by Ruffo—who owned Rembrandt’s Aristotle with a Bust of Homer—but may have been in the collection of the Rospigliosi family in Rome. Preti moved to Malta in 1661 and the picture dates from his stay on the island.
