General description as provided from the museum's website (© - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - www.metmuseum.org)

Among the most modern-seeming pictures of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries are informal studies of heads in which the artist eschews portraiture in favor of exploring character and expression. In this striking depiction of an old woman lit by a merciless shaft of light, Borgianni seems to give us a meditation on old age and mortality. Orazio Borgianni was one of the most individual followers of Caravaggio.

For every art print we offer different materials & sizes. Choose among the following product options now to match your preferences in size and material:

  • The canvas print: The canvas print, not to be mistaken with a real painting on a canvas, is an image printed directly on canvas. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight. That means, it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without the support of additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for all kinds of walls.
  • Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an outstanding depth.
  • Acrylic glass print: An acrylic glass print, often described as a plexiglass print, will change the original into brilliant décor. With an acrylic glass art print contrasts as well as smaller image details become recognizeable because of the delicate gradation. The real glass coating protects your chosen art print against light and external influences for many years.
  • Printed poster (canvas material): Our poster print is a UV printed canvas with a slight finish on the surface, that resembles the original version of the work of art. The poster print is best suited for putting your art print with a custom-made frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin between 2-6cm round about the artwork to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
