The product material choices

We offer a range of different materials and sizes for every product. We allow you to pick your favorite size and material among the following product individualization options:

  • The canvas print: The UV printed canvas material applied on a wooden stretcher frame. A canvas has a typical look of three dimensionality. What is more, canvas produces a lovely and comfortable atmosphere. A canvas print has the great advantage of being relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang up the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for any kind of wall.
  • Metal print (aluminium dibond): This is a metal print made on alu dibond material with a true effect of depth. The colors are bright and luminous in the highest definition, the details of the print are clear and crisp. The direct UV print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is an extremely contemporary way to display art, because it draws attention on the image.
  • Poster (canvas material): A poster is a printed sheet of canvas with a slightly rough surface finish. It is best suited for placing your art replica with a special frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6cm around the painting to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
  • Acrylic glass print: An acrylic glass print, often referenced as a plexiglass print, will convert the original artwork into lovely décor. Your artwork is custom-made with state-of-the-art UV direct print technology.

Disclaimer: We try all that we can in order to depict our art products as clearly as possible and to display them visually on the different product detail pages. However, the tone of the print materials, as well as the print result may diverge slightly from the representation on your device's screen. Depending on the settings of your screen and the quality of the surface, not all color pigments are printed as realistically as the digital version depicted here. In view of the fact that all art prints are processed and printed by hand, there might also be minor discrepancies in the exact position and the size of the motif.

This is a study for an altarpiece, Christ Delivering the Keys to Saint Peter, commissioned in 1817 for Santissima Trinità dei Monti, Rome, and completed in 1820 (now Musée Ingres, Montauban). Ingres based the composition on Raphael’s tapestry design of the same theme and developed it in eight oil studies (including this one) and more than seventy drawings. Although the study may date to 1818–20, it is also possible that it was painted or reworked in 1841, and touches may have been added as late as 1856.
