In 1900 the French artist Adolphe Joseph Thomas Monticelli created the 20th century artpiece Persons in Louis XV Costumes. The more than 120 year-old original version measures the size - 12 5/8 × 18 1/4 in (32 × 46,3 cm). Oil on cradled panel was applied by the painter as the technique for the artwork. The artwork's inscription is the following: inscribed lower right: A. Monticelli. The artwork can be viewed in in the collection of Art Institute Chicago, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe.
