For Van Gogh, oleanders were joyous, life-affirming flowers that bloomed "inexhaustibly" and were always "putting out strong new shoots." In this painting of August 1888 the flowers fill a majolica jug that the artist used for other still lifes made in Arles. They are symbolically juxtaposed with Émile Zola's La joie de vivre, a novel that Van Gogh had placed in contrast to an open Bible in a Nuenen still life of 1885.

The material choices

The product dropdown menu ofers you the chance to choose your favorite material and size. Pick your favorite size and material among the following options:

  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): The print on acrylic glass, often denoted as a print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite original into beautiful home decoration. Your own replica of the work of art is being manufactured with modern UV direct printing technology. The great upside of an acrylic glass art print is that sharp contrasts and granular color details become more visible because of the subtle tonal gradation in the print. The plexiglass protects your selected art replica against sunlight and heat for between 4 and six decades.
  • The canvas print: The canvas print, not to be confused with a painting on a canvas, is a digital image printed on a UV direct printing machine. It has a typical impression of three-dimensionality. A canvas print of your favorite artwork will let you turn your art print into a large size work of art. How do I hang a canvas on my wall? Canvas prints are relatively low in weight. That means, it is quite simple to hang the Canvas print without the help of any wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for all kinds of walls.
  • Aluminium dibond (metal print): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding depth. For the Direct Aluminium Dibond print, we print the favorite work of art right onto the aluminium white-primed surface. The bright and white parts of the original artpiece shine with a silky gloss but without the glow. Colors are luminous, the details of the print appear clear and crisp, and there’s a matte look that you can literally feel.
  • Printed poster (canvas material): The poster is a printed flat canvas paper with a nice surface finish. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the painting in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
