General description by The Metropolitan Museum of Art (© - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)

This energetic sketch shows Henry IV (1553–1610), King of France, entering Paris "in the manner of the triumphs of the Romans," as described in Rubens’s contract of 1622. Rubens was to paint forty-eight large canvases for the king’s widow, Marie de’ Medici, to decorate the Palais de Luxembourg. Those depicting her life (Louvre, Paris) were finished in 1624, but of the companion series only the enormous Triumph of Henry IV (Uffizi, Florence) was completed before the Marie’s banishment from France in 1631. The present oil sketch is the last of four in which Rubens worked out his heroic allegory of an actual event.

A direct Aluminium Dibond Print is your excellent introduction to fine art reproductions made with aluminum. For our Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the chosen artwork on the surface of the white-primed aluminum composite. Colors are luminous and vivid, the details of the print appear crisp.
  • Poster (canvas material): Our poster is a UV printed sheet of canvas paper with a slightly roughened surface texture. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6 cm around the artwork to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
  • Canvas: The canvas print, which shall not be confused with an artwork painted on a canvas, is a digital replica printed on a UV direct printing machine. A printed canvas of this masterpiece will allow you to transform your into a large artpiece like you know from art galleries. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang up the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any type of wall.
  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating on top): An acrylic glass print, which is sometimes labelled as a plexiglass print, makes the original artwork into beautiful décor. Additionally, the acrylic glass art print forms a great alternative option to aluminium or canvas fine art replicas. The work of art is made with state-of-the-art UV direct printing machines. The special effect of this are sharp and vivid colors.
