The 190 year-old version of the painting measures the size - 19 x 15,5 cm - frame dimensions: 40 x 37 x 6 cm and was painted on the medium oil on canvas on cardboard. The original masterpiece has the following text as inscrption: signed and dated right (engraved) on the arm: Jos. Bayer / 829. This artpiece is in the the Belvedere's digital art collection. We are delighted to state that the work of art, which belongs to the public domain is being supplied with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 2695. The creditline of the artwork is: transfer from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna in 1927. On top of that, alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with a ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. The painter Josef Bayer was an artist, whose style was primarily Realism. The Realist painter was born in 1805 in Vienna and passed away at the age of 26 in the year 1831 in Vienna.
