Product materials on offer:

We offer a range of different materials and sizes for every product. Choose among the following product options now to match your preferences in size and material:

  • Metal (aluminium dibond print): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an impressive depth. For the Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the chosen work of art on the surface of the aluminum material. The bright & white parts of the artwork shimmer with a silk gloss, however without glare.
  • Poster on canvas material: A poster is a printed flat canvas with a nice structure on the surface. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin between 2-6cm around the print motif, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
  • Canvas: The printed canvas material stretched on a wood stretcher frame. The canvas produces a lovely and positive feeling. A canvas of your favorite artpiece will allow you to transform your art print into a large size collection piece like you would see in a gallery. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without the support of extra wall-mounts. Because of thatcanvas prints are suitable for all kinds of walls.
  • The glossy acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): The acrylic glass print, which is sometimes referenced as a print on plexiglass, transforms your original work of art into beautiful décor. The artwork is manufactured with the help of modern UV direct print technology. With an acrylic glass fine art print contrasts and small image details become more visible with the help of the precise tonal gradation. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your selected fine art print against light and heat for many years to come.

Legal note: We try in order to describe the products as closely as possible and to exhibit them visually on the respective product detail pages. Still, the tone of the print materials, as well as the imprint can vary marginally from the image on the device's monitor. Depending on your screen settings and the condition of the surface, not all colors can be printed 100% realistically. Given that all the art reproductions are processed and printed by hand, there may also be slight variations in the size and exact position of the motif.

General description from The Cleveland Museum of Art (© Copyright - by The Cleveland Museum of Art - The Cleveland Museum of Art)

Likely Vernet's first major work during his study in Rome, this landscape demonstrates his signature style. Vernet preferred and is remembered for marine subjects and water is also a central theme in this painting. Vernet became the predominant French landscape painter of the 18th century, contributing to a long French tradition. While in Rome, he absorbed the Italian tradition of dramatic, rugged landscape paintings, established by Salvador Rosa in the 1600s. This influence is reflected in Vernet's presentation of the craggy rock formations and cascades that made Tivoli, a small town twenty miles east of Rome, famous. Vernet here synthesizes this style with the calmer pastoral mode, more typical of the French landscape tradition, with its roots in the work of Claude Lorrain. Vernet generally inserted elements of humanity in his work, here evident in the touches of civilization in the background and the fishermen in the foreground. Vernet enjoyed considerable popularity, evidenced by the fact that Napoleon's brother Lucien Bonaparte held this painting as a part of his impressive collection. --David Silvernail (March 2013)
