About the more than 170 years old artpiece

The over 170 year old masterpiece was created by the romanticist artist George Caleb Bingham. The original version of the artwork has the following size 38 x 48 in (96,5 x 121,9 cm) framed: 51 11/16 x 61 x 5 1/4 in (131,3 x 154,9 x 13,3 cm) and was manufactured with the technique oil on canvas. It belongs to the Saint Louis Art Museum's art collection, which is a world renowned fine arts museum known for its outstanding and comprehensive collection spanning 5000 years of cultures and genres. This work of art, which is in the public domain is being provided with courtesy of Saint Louis Art Museum, Missouri, Bequest of Mrs. Chester Harding Krum. The creditline of the artwork is the following: Bequest of Mrs. Chester Harding Krum. Furthermore, alignment is in landscape format with an image ratio of 1.2 : 1, which means that the length is 20% longer than the width. George Caleb Bingham was a male politician, painter, university teacher, whose art style can primarily be classified as Romanticism.
