In August 1868 Winslow Homer, then working as a free-lance illustrator, visited the White Mountains of New Hampshire. As early as the 1820s, American artists used the White Mountains as a setting for landscape paintings. Unlike Thomas Cole (1802-1848) and Asher Durand (1796-1886), who focused on the unspoiled wilderness, Homer turned his attention to other tourists. He made this oil sketch as a study for the horse in a large oil painting The Bridal Path, White Mountains (1868; Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, Massachusetts).

Selectable product materials

We offer a range of different sizes and materials for every product. That is why, we allow you to choose among the following options:

  • Printed acrylic glass with a glossy effect (with real glass coating): A glossy print on acrylic glass, which is often denoted as a an art print on plexiglass, will change your favorite original artwork into home décor. The work of art is printed with the help of modern UV print technology. This creates rich and stunning color shades. With an acrylic glass fine art print contrasts and small details become more recognizeable with the help of the fine gradation of the print.
  • Poster on canvas material: The poster print is a printed canvas with a fine structure on the surface. It is perfectly qualified for placing the art print using a custom frame. Please note, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm round about the print to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
  • Aluminium dibond: Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with a true effect of depth, which makes a modern impression thanks to a non-reflective surface structure. For our Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the work of art right on the surface of the aluminum. The bright parts of the original artwork shine with a silk gloss but without the glow. This direct UV print on aluminium is the most popular entry-level product and is a truly sophisticated way to showcase fine art prints, because it draws focus on the image.
  • Canvas: A printed canvas material applied on a wooden frame. A canvas generates a unique look of three dimensionality. Additionally, a canvas creates a attractive and comfy atmosphere. How do I hang a canvas print on my wall? Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang the Canvas print without any wall-mounts. That is why, a canvas print is suitable for all kinds of walls.
