What specifically does the The Metropolitan Museum of Art say about the 19th century artwork made by John Frederick Kensett? (© Copyright - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)

Kensett restricted his palette in this small study of Lake George, in upstate New York, to a limited range of contrasting colors. He applied the paint thinly, and his brushwork created a uniformly textured surface. The restrained composition is interrupted at the right by a minute white sail and two rowboats, one with a brilliant patch of red, which provide a sense of scale.

Select a art print material variant

For every art print we offer different sizes and materials. The following options are available for individualization:

  • Canvas: A printed canvas, which should not be mistaken with a canvas painting, is a digital replica printed on a cotton canvas material. Also, a canvas creates a nice and warm impression. Your canvas of this artpiece will allow you to transform your new art print into a large size artpiece as you know from art galleries. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without the use of any wall-mounts. Because of thatcanvas prints are suitable for all kinds of walls.
  • Aluminium dibond print (metal): This is a metal print made on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding depth. The non-reflective surface creates a fashionable look. For the Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the selected artwork on the surface of the aluminum. The bright & white components of the original artpiece shine with a silky gloss but without the glow. Colors are luminous and vivid in the highest definition, details of the print are crisp and clear.
  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating on top): An acrylic glass print, which is often referred to as a plexiglass print, will transform an original artwork into beautiful décor and is a great alternative option to canvas or dibond fine art replicas. The artwork will be custom-made thanks to the help of modern UV print technology.
  • Poster (canvas material): Our poster is a UV printed cotton canvas with a granular surface finish, that reminds the actual work of art. The poster print is perfectly suited for framing your art replica in a personal frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin 2-6 cm around the painting to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
