Old Bridge Strike transformed with the 1830 revolution of Arcola bridge. There is no certainty about the origin of the name: it is either a reference to the Bonapartist win either of the heroic feat of a young Republican named Arcola and Arcola (?) . This bridge was built in 1828 under the direction of engineer Vergès. (See Jocelyne Van Deputte the Bridges of Paris, Sauret editions, Paris / Museums, p.92-95).
