The over 210 year old painting was painted by the painter Benjamin West. The beyond 210 year old original measures the size: 27 x 20 in (68,6 x 50,8 cm). Oil on canvas was used by the artist as the medium of the painting. Furthermore, the work of art is part of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's art collection, which is the largest art museum in the western United States, with a collection of more than 142.000 objects that illuminate 6.000 years of artistic expression across the globe.
