Wheatley was among the best painters of the small-scale group portrait, or conversation piece, which is so typical of the mid-eighteenth-century English school. Here he shows a couple and their little girl, traditionally identified as members of the Saithwaite family. The lady's dress, with its elaborate starched white muslin trim, her puffy powdered hair, and her elaborate plumed hat indicate a date of about 1785. The red figured damask upholstery and the Turkey carpet are painted with attention to detail, but the pattern of the carpet is too steeply foreshortened and it seems to slope forward.

The white & bright sections of the artpiece shimmer with a silky gloss but without the glow. Colors are bright and vivid, details are very clear, and you can really perceive the matte appearance of the fine art print. This print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is an extremely stylish way to display fine art prints, as it draws attention on the replica of the artwork.
  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating on top): An acrylic glass print, often referred to as a an art print on plexiglass, will convert the artwork into great décor. In addition, the acrylic print forms a distinct alternative option to canvas and aluminidum dibond fine art prints.
