The product dropdown menu ofers you the possibility to pick your individual size and material. You can choose among the following product customization options:

  • The canvas print: A canvas print, not to be mistaken with a canvas painting, is an image printed onto cotton canvas. A canvas print creates a nice and positive feeling. Your canvas of your favorite artpiece will give you the opportunity to turn your fine art print into a large size collection piece. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang up your Canvas print without the support of extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for all types of walls.
  • The acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes labelled as a UV print on plexiglass, transforms your favorite original into marvellous wall decoration. Your own copy of the work of art is manufactured with modern UV printing technology. The result of this are impressive and rich colors. With an acrylic glass art print contrasts and artwork details become more identifiable because of the delicate gradation. Our plexiglass with real glass coating protects your custom fine art print against sunlight and heat for several decades.
  • Printed poster (canvas material): Our poster print is a UV printed sheet of cotton canvas paper with a slightly rough finish on the surface. A printed poster is suited for framing your fine art print in a personal frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the artwork, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Aluminium dibond: This is a metal print made on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding depth. A direct Aluminium Dibond Print is the ideal introduction to the sophisticated world of art prints with aluminum. For our Direct Aluminium Dibond option, we print your chosen artpiece on the surface of the aluminum. The direct UV print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is a truly modern way to showcase art prints, as it puts all of the viewer’s focus on the artwork.

Important legal note: We try everything to depict our products as closely as possible and to illustrate them visually on the various product detail pages. At the same time, the pigments of the print products, as well as the imprint can diverge marginally from the representation on the screen. Depending on the settings of your screen and the condition of the surface, color pigments might not be printed 100% realistically. Given that our art reproductions are printed and processed by hand, there may also be slight discrepancies in the exact position and the size of the motif.

Original artwork description from the museum's website (© - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)

Best known as a portraitist, Loop was a popular choice among artists who were newly elected as associate Academicians to the National Academy of Design to satisfy the requirement that they provide portraits of themselves. The realist sculptor John Quincy Adams Ward (1830-1910) was elected an associate of the Academy in 1862 and a full Academician in 1863, later serving as president of the organization in 1873-74, the first sculptor to do so. This cabinet-sized likeness on panel is presumably a study for or reduced replica after Ward’s presentation portrait on canvas (19 7/8 x 15 7/8 in.) by Loop in the National Academy’s collection. Both depict the artist in a three-quarter bust-length pose against a monochromatic background. Ward has a full red beard and moustache and appears in contemporary dress—white shirt, brown bow tie and vest, and a black coat. The Metropolitan’s version descended in the family of Eliza Ward Thomas, Ward’s eldest sister, and remains in its original frame.
