Pick a product material variant
The product dropdown menu gives you the chance to select your individual material and size. Pick your favorite size and material among the following options:
- The poster print (canvas material): A poster is a UV printed cotton canvas paper with a nice surface structure. It is suited for placing the art print with a customized frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6 cm around the artwork in order to facilitate the framing.
- Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): An acrylic glass print, which is sometimes described as a fine art print on plexiglass, transforms the original into brilliant décor. Furthermore, the acrylic glass art print makes a viable alternative to canvas or dibond prints. The real glass coating protects your selected art replica against light and external influences for between 40-60 years.
- Canvas: A UV printed canvas material stretched on a wooden frame. A canvas print of this artwork will let you turn your very own into a large size collection piece like you know from art galleries. Canvas Prints have the advantage of being relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy to hang up the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for any type of wall.
- Aluminium dibond (metal print): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an outstanding depth effect. Its non-reflective surface structure make a fashionable look. For your Aluminium Dibond print, we print the favorite artwork onto the aluminium surface. The colors are luminous and bright in the highest definition, details appear clear and crisp.
Important note: We try our utmost to depict our products as exact as possible and to illustrate them visually in our shop. Although, the tone of the print products and the print result may differ marginally from the image on the screen. Depending on the screen settings and the condition of the surface, color pigments may not be printed one hundret percent realistically. Bearing in mind that the art reproductions are processed and printed manually, there might as well be minor discrepancies in the motif's size and exact position.

During his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, J.C. Dahl specialised in landscape painting. When settling in Dresden in Germany in 1818, he effectively settled in the capital of German Romanticism where landscapes held absolute sway.
Atmospehere as the pivotal feature ”Atmosphere” was the pivotal feature of Romantic landscapes. This emphasis on mood within the visual arts was a parallel to the “intimations” of Romantic poetry, representing a semi-religious view of nature. The somewhat oppressive atmosphere with its undertones of death – nature is shown in its icy winter garb – is symbolically anchored in the stump left by the tree felled in the foreground, the naked, lifeless branches of the two large trees, and the grave behind them.
Another Romantic note At the same time, the barrow strikes another Romantic note: The sense of days long past and the vast continuity of time. The grand landscape with its dramatic play of colour gives a spatial dimension to this time theme, intimating a deeper reality. Unlike the radically Romantic works also appearing at the time, Dahl softens his landscape, introducing elements of genre painting by imbuing it with anecdotal materials: In the background a wisp of smoke rises from a cabin, perhaps the home of the hunter on the snow-covered field.
