Possible product material choices

In the dropdown selection next to the article you can select the size and materialaccording to your personal preferences. The following options are available for individualization:

  • The canvas print: The canvas print, not to be mistaken with a real canvas painting, is a digital image printed onto canvas material. Furthermore, a printed canvas generates a attractive and comfy look. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight. This means, it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without the help of any wall-mounts. That is why, a canvas print is suitable for all types of walls.
  • Printed poster (canvas material): Our poster is a UV printed flat canvas paper with a nice surface texture. A print poster is qualified for placing your art print in a special frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the work of art in order to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): A glossy acrylic glass print, which is sometimes described as a fine art print on plexiglass, changes your favorite artwork into home décor. What is more, it makes a viable alternative option to canvas and dibond fine art prints. The artwork is manufactured with the help of state-of-the-art UV direct print technology. This creates the effect of stunning, vivid colors. The major upside of an acrylic glass fine art print is that contrasts plus details will be more identifiable due to the precise gradation of the picture. The real glass coating protects your chosen art replica against sunlight and external influences for between 40-60 years.
  • Aluminium dibond print (metal): This is a metal print made on aluminium dibond with a true depth. A non-reflective surface creates a fashionable impression. The bright & white components of the original artpiece shimmer with a silky gloss but without any glow.

Important information: We try everything to depict our products in as much detail as possible and to showcase them visually. Still, the tone of the printed materials and the imprint might diverge slightly from the representation on your device's screen. Depending on your settings of your screen and the condition of the surface, not all colors will be printed 100% realistically. Given that our art reproductions are processed and printed manually, there might also be minor discrepancies in the motif's exact position and the size.

General description from Statens Museum for Kunst (National Gallery of Denmark) (© - Statens Museum for Kunst (National Gallery of Denmark) -

Johan Salomon Wahl (1689-1765) was curator of the Royal Danish Kunstkammer and a practicing artist.

Here he has portrayed his successor, Gerhard Morell. Wahl had imposed a certain degree of order upon the old-fashioned "kunstkammer" (cabinet of curiosities/art display). The advent of Morell, an enthusiastic buyer of arts, made it possible to transform the collections into a royal gallery and art collection in the international vein.

A new gallery at Christiansborg The new gallery at Christiansborg was intended to comprise selected pieces already owned by the king and new acquisitions. From 1755 to 1763 Morell travelled to e.g. Amsterdam where he primarily acquired Dutch and Italian paintings of a scope and quality hitherto unknown in Denmark. Many of these works are still regarded as the best in the collection. One example is Venus and Adonis by Abraham Bloemaert, on display above.
